Bacteriostatic (Bac) water is a sterile, non-pyrogenic water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol (9 mg/mL) as a preservative. It is primarily used as a safe diluent to reconstitute or dissolve dry, lyophilized medications and compounds for multiple injections.
